Problem statement
Due to the development of the web application, the existing solution has become non-functional. It was necessary to rebuild the components of the application to accommodate new features.
Key goal
My main task was to redesign the “Chat view” sub-page to include new functionality and also to ensure a modern and intuitive visual design.
Solution
The result of my work, which was based on research and checking the solutions of the competition, was the creation of a new design of the “Chat view” website and also the initiation of the redesign of subsequent pages of the product.
Before redesign
Chat view contained quite a few design flaws and unintuitive solutions that delayed the work of those responsible for operating the platform.
New features
The features that have been added, as well as the rebuilding of already existing components and the design space saved, have helped improve the quality of work for agents operating the platform.
Buttons have been added to the sidebar:
New message
Sort
Search
The addition of these buttons has improved the creation of new messages and also sorting them and searching through keywords.
The newly received message is bolded, than as before filled with color.
A 3-stream communication has been designed in the conversation window.
The purpose of this change was the need to separate the different types of messages sent to agents.
Search and filter buttons have been added to make it easier to search for specific information in the conversation history.
The contact information tab has been redesigned. Thematic sections with the most important information provided when joining the application have been added.
The separation of this information was intended to make it easier to contact the agent since all the information is in one place.
The Actions tab has been redesigned.
The solution “Collaps bar” was used, which allows opening nested lists and hiding when the information is not currently needed.

Changes made to “Chat view” in accordance with UX best practices and based on feedback received from users of this application as well as competitive research led to the creation of a tool that meets the needs of users.
